The private house for a family of four, located in a village in the Moscow region.
The site is surrounded by picturesque fields, views of which open through numerous windows of the house. The volume is divided into private and public areas. So the ground floor is dominated by open and free space for joint leisure. It includes a kitchen-dining room and a living room, united by a fireplace in the center. On the second floor, there are bedrooms with a large, bright hall connecting these rooms. The compositional center of the house is the hall, with a staircase leading to the second floor. This is the least private space. It is the most permeable, and therefore especially bright. The structure of the house is a timber frame. The grid of wooden columns sets a rhythm that is evident in the exterior of the house. Glazing is either attached to the columns or where privacy is needed, the space between the columns is closed and the outside is finished with metal.
