The chamber is deisgned to eliminate all «sound bridges», preventing any structural transmission of vibration or noise. The pavilion is fully acoustically isolated from its surroundings and rests on a floating floor system, ensuring complete separation from external sound.
The interior absorbs reflected sound waves entirely, removing reverberation and producing the effect of sonic «nowhere», a perceptual condition akin to that of an anechoic chamber. This effect is achieved through a system of specially designed acoustic baffles rhythmically distributed along the perimeter of the structure. Their presence is subtly articulated by stretched-fabric panels that symbolically reveal the hidden acoustic infrastructure.
At the center of the chamber, beneath a suspended fabric canopy, a drum and a control console for the integrated audio system invite active engagement. Through interaction with these elements, visitors can generate and manipulate sound scenarios and explore how perception shifts within a space of total acoustic isolation.
